On Thursday, July 30, a group of dedicated volunteers came together to assist the faculty and staff of St. Scholastica School as they prepared to welcome students back for the new school year.

Over the summer, several classrooms were reconfigured and new furniture was added to accommodate the school’s growing enrollment and expanding classroom needs. To help ease the workload on the faculty, Knights of Columbus members volunteered their time and energy to move furniture, relocate classroom equipment, and assist with transferring furnishings from the resource room to their new locations.

Ron Samoska, Dick Marten, Tom Glennon, Joe Testolin, and John Lausas were all happy to lend a hand and help reduce the burden on the school staff during this busy preparation period.

The volunteers’ efforts ensured that classrooms were organized and ready for students and teachers as they begin another exciting academic year. Supporting our parish and school communities through service is a cornerstone of the Knights of Columbus mission, and this project was another great example of members putting their faith into action.

We thank the faculty and staff of St. Scholastica School for all they do and wish them a successful and blessed school year ahead.

Ready for Students!
