Drawing from a background in musical theater, as a concert soloist and club singer, the artistry of this native Chicagoan shines through with interpretations of songs made popular by fellow crooners and modern troubadours, ranging from Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, to James Taylor, Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot and more.

Often referred to as “Chicago’s Original Voice of the National Anthem,” having sung for the Cubs, Wolves, Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls, White Sox and Sting for many years, Wayne Messmer
brings a commanding stage presence with a repertoire of jazz classics and standards to every live performance.
Backed by some of Chicago’s finest musicians, Messmer cuts on a wide swath on his musical journey from tender ballads to tasty swing tunes with his own unique personal style.
