DESCRIPTION:This year\, we’ve budgeted $11\,000 in collections. That’s a good goal. But the real question is: what if we didn’t settle for good? \n\nMore than 50 years ago\, this drive began with Knights standing on street corners\, collecting donations to support people with intellectual disabilities. That tradition of charity in action continues today. \nWhat if we challenged ourselves to make this our most successful drive yet? What if every Knight gave a few hours of his time? What additional therapies\, programs\, scholarships\, equipment\, and support could be funded right here in our community? \n\nBehind every donation is a person\, a family\, and a story. The funds we raise help provide opportunities\, independence\, and hope to individuals with intellectual disabilities and those who care for them. \nThe success of this drive isn’t measured by dollars alone. It’s measured by the lives we impact. Every shift volunteered is a visible reminder that no one walks alone and that our commitment to charity extends beyond words. \nPlease sign up to help. Together\, let’s do more than reach a goal. By volunteering a few hours of your time\, you’re helping the Council continue its mission of service to our parish and community. \nWe’re looking for Brother Knights to help staff our upcoming gaming sessions. We prefer two Knights per two-hour shift\, making the time pass quickly while giving you the opportunity to visit\, share stories\, and enjoy the fellowship that makes our Council so special. \nWhether you’re a regular volunteer or looking to get involved for the first time\, this is an easy and enjoyable way to support our charitable efforts. DESCRIPTION:Friday\, October 16 | 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM \n\nJoin the Knights of Columbus as we participate in Bridges for Life\, a peaceful public witness in support of the dignity and sanctity of every human life. \nDuring this event\, Brother Knights and other pro-life supporters will stand on the bridge over Interstate 355 holding banners bearing the message: \n“Abortion Takes a Human Life” \nBridges for Life is a simple but powerful opportunity to peacefully raise awareness for the protection of unborn children and to affirm the inherent value of every human person.
